Colorado Pheasants Forever Welcomes Rebecca Bartels

Rebecca Bartels has joined the Colorado Pheasants Forever team as a Coordinating Wildlife Biologist in Craig, Colorado!

Rebecca Bartels, née Burton, is originally from Wyoming, but she has spent over seven years living and working in Craig, Colorado. She previously worked as a Private Lands Conservationist for Pheasants Forever for five years, then worked as a Natural Resource Specialist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. As an experienced biologist and conservation planner, she has a wealth of knowledge in USDA programs, addressing local resource concerns, working with landowners, and providing outreach to the community. Rebecca’s new role with us will be a bit different than her previous role in that she is now working through a partnership with Pheasants Forever, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Bureau of Land Management, so she will be working in both private and public lands conservation. Rebecca is also a member of the Intermountain West Joint Venture’s Sage Capacity Team.

We are thrilled to have Rebecca back with Pheasants Forever and cannot wait to see the conservation projects that she develops with local landowners in Northwestern Colorado!
